Smart Nursing Prep is an advanced digital learning platform designed to help nursing students, healthcare scholars, and medical professionals master clinical concepts, pharmacology protocols, dosage calculations, and board examinations (including NCLEX-RN, NORCET, AIIMS, DHA, HAAD, and Prometric).

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, storage, and protection of your personal information when you access or use our website, mobile interfaces, study guides, clinical calculators, mock tests, and associated services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is reasonably capable of being associated with you. The categories of information we collect include:

Nursing, GNM, Post Basic, M.Sc. Nursing), year/semester of study, and target licensure examinations.
  • Academic & Learning Data: When you take practice exams, interactive quizzes, clinical calculators, or review study library guides, we collect your submitted answers, time taken per question, test completion timestamps, accuracy rates, streak records, proficiency bands, clinical rationale review interactions, and earned leaderboard rankings.
  • Technical & Device Information: We automatically log technical data when you visit our website, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, language settings, operating system, device manufacturer/model, referring website URLs, date and time stamps of page views, and clickstream navigation paths.
  • Transaction & Billing Data: If you purchase digital study materials, premium question banks, or subscriptions through our Shop, your transaction details (such as order ID, purchased items, billing name, and contact details) are processed by authorized payment service providers (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay). We never store raw credit card numbers or security CVV codes on our servers.
  • Communication & Support Records: When you contact our support team via email, contact forms, or bug submission tickets, we collect the content of your message, attached screenshots, and your contact history to resolve your inquiry.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information through three primary channels:

  1. Directly from You: When you fill out registration forms, update your user profile, answer mock exam questions, submit dosage calculations, subscribe to newsletters, or contact customer support.
  2. Automatically via Technology: When you navigate through the website, automated data collection technologies (such as browser cookies, web beacons, local storage tokens, and server access logs) capture system telemetry and user interaction patterns.
  3. From Trusted Third-Party Services: If you authenticate via third-party OAuth providers (such as Google or Supabase Auth), we receive verified authentication credentials (such as your verified email address and public profile name) as permitted by your privacy settings with those providers.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for specific, legitimate business purposes:

  • To create, authenticate, and administer your student profile and user account.
  • To deliver interactive clinical calculators, mock tests, and multimedia study modules.
  • To compute test analytics, pace metrics, proficiency bands, and personalized study feedback.
  • To maintain public and private leaderboards, study streaks, and academic achievements.
  • To process orders and deliver transactional notifications (e.g., receipts, password resets).
  • To send educational pearls, syllabus revisions, and platform announcements (with opt-out controls).
  • To monitor system performance, troubleshoot server errors, and optimize mobile responsiveness.
  • To protect platform integrity, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent unauthorized scraping or abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for monetary consideration.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Smart Nursing Prep uses cookies, session identifiers, and browser local storage to provide a seamless learning experience. Cookies are small text files placed on your device:

  • Performance & Analytics Cookies: Gather aggregated, de-identified telemetry on page load speeds, high-traffic study guides, and mobile layout rendering to help us continually enhance platform quality.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings (such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge). However, disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or taking mock examinations.

  • Active Accounts: We maintain your test records, earned certificates, and study history for the duration of your active account.

12. Your Global Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European Union, United Kingdom, India, Canada, and Australia), you have specific statutory rights concerning your personal information:

  • Right of Access: You can request a complete copy of the personal data we maintain about you.

13. California Privacy Notice (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to specific disclosures:

  • Notice of Collection: We collect personal identifiers, educational records, electronic network activity, and commercial transaction history as detailed in Section 2.
  • Right to Know & Delete: California consumers have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, as well as the deletion of their personal information.
  • Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information: We do not sell personal data for financial payment. We also do not share personal information of minors under 16 years of age without explicit affirmative authorization.

  • Shine the Light Law: Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information once per year regarding disclosures of personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.

14. Automated Scoring, Anti-Cheat & Pacing Analytics

Our mock examination system employs automated algorithms to calculate test scores, evaluate distractor rationales, award streak points, and analyze pacing metrics (such as detecting rapid anomalies completed in under 8 seconds per question).

These algorithmic evaluations are used solely for educational benchmarking, cheat-resistant leaderboard integrity, and student self-assessment. They do not produce legal or similarly significant discriminatory effects under Article 22 of the GDPR.

15. Security & Protection Measures

We implement comprehensive technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure:

  • Encryption in Transit: All web traffic is encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security protocols (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
  • Encryption at Rest: Sensitive database records and cloud backups are encrypted using AES-256 standard encryption.
  • Access Controls: Strict role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication, and audited principle-of-least-privilege policies for internal systems.
  • Infrastructure Security: Continuous DDoS monitoring, automated threat detection, and daily database integrity checks.

16. Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Smart Nursing Prep is an advanced professional medical and nursing examination preparation resource intended for adults and college students aged 18 and older (or individuals who have reached the age of educational majority).

We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13) (or under sixteen (16) where applicable by law).
